Jumble Sale is a great success

The Home in Frome Jumble Sale on Sturday 9th April at trinity Hall was a great success. We raised over £300 which will help fund the exciting projects planned for the next 18 months. Watch this space for more news soon.

Exhibition still running (Sunday 12th July 2009)

We are really happy with how things are going at the Silk Mill... The Inside Out cafe is up and running serving home baked cakes/buns or cookies, tea or coffee and six or so different flavoured ice creams, in a suitably unsustainable environment! Barry and Anthony's wood and stone early homestead forms a beautiful entry to the gallery and Robert's Exhibition is pulling in the punters at the last count we have had over 750 visitors - and there is time for more as we are open daily 11.00- 5.00 till next Wednesday evening!

All projects to do or revolving around the HOME in FROME project can be viewed at the Home in Frome website.

Inside Out Cafe, 23 June 2009

The Inside Out Cafe will be open from Saturday 4th July – Wednesday 15th July from 12.00-5.00pm.

AND WE NEED YOUR HELP.

There are three things that we need your help with....

1. Setting up the cafe and making it look like inside out...this will be happening from 9.30 am on Wed 1st July.

2. Cooking cakes or biscuits (at home) to bring along and sell at the cafe throughout the period it is open. You will be reimbursed for any ingredients you use to cook for the cafe.

3. Serving refreshments at the cafe.

If you are interested in any or all of these please contact Kate on katemoore@macace.net or 07974 985165.

Working at the Café is a great opportunity for ex students and other young people wanting practical experience in running a temporary café and will look great on a CV!
When open we need at least one person present at the cafe who has done a course in Food Hygiene.
This training can be done in Frome on Tuesday 30 June from 9.30-4.30pm.

If you are interested in taking part in this, please contact Kate as above.

Silk Mill Cafe, Tuesday 9th June 2009

The Silk Mill have kindly decided to organize a cafe there for the festival week plus one day 3rd-14th July and they need your help.

" If you would like to decorate it beforehand, do a shift there or make some cakes/biscuits for it please get in touch. We might be able to pay you depending on how much the cafe makes, but no promises! We will certainly pay for your materials if you cook for it. It should be fun so long as enough people get involved!"

Please contact Kate Moore for details.
